Welcome to my newest series. This is strictly a Legend of Zelda fan series. The basic idea is to do the games I know/have access to learning and turn it into a novelization. Now, as you may have noticed, the Links mentioned in the title are those that I can get to a walkthrough for/can play the game myself and figure out. Of course, I only list four Links. However, if you can't tell by the summary, there are a few more things to those Links. In fact, two of the four have their own side adventures after the regular.
Yes, I'm sure you've guessed it correctly. I plan on doing two other Zelda games as part of this series as well, namely Majora's Mask and Phantom Hourglass. So, the games I'm doing - and the order of them - is Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Phantom Hourglass. I know that last four might appear strange, mostly because they take place in different timelines - and yes, I not only believe in the timelines theory, but I also think it's completely stupid and idiot to try and fit all the games into one timeline. Anyway, I'm doing them in that order for a reason. However, in truth, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker will probably be written at the same time, while the same will hold true for Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass. These four can almost be written in any order - the only musts for the order is that Twilight Princess comes after Majora's Mask and Phantom Hourglass comes after Wind Waker.
Anyway, I will clearly label when the Timeline splits. I will also probably have some filler chapters between the stories to show some of the what happened after the games ended. Like, I'll show hints of what happened between Skyward Sword and Ocarina of Time, with some mentioned of the games that come between the two, probably the only nod to them. Hell, I might even put in some games that are from the Timeline of Defeat where the Hero of Time is defeated by Ganondorf. In fact, I'm sure some people will find it cool if I did that, giving a nod to he original games.
Oh, and I will be using the way I see Hyrule and other things into the stories, including how Hyrule is actually shaped If you don't like it, I'm sorry, but that's how I'm going to be doing it. I will at least attempt to connect the Hyrules together in the four games - well, three for SS, OoT, and TP, as WW doesn't quite take place in Hyrule, but more over it. However, I will say this right now. The only part of Hyrule I can honestly say is the same in all games involving Hyrule that I will be writing is where the Master Sword will be laid to rest. Everything else can be twisted around to suit by needs, but the MS will always be found where it was laid to rest - The Temple of Hylia + The Sealed Temple + The Temple of Time + The Sacred Grove. All those places are in the same place on any Hyrule Map. I will also say this right now. Hyrule between OoT and TP, while drastically different, will have some of the same features. However, they will also be different in a way as well.
You'll have to read the stories to know just how this will be.
Chapter Length and Other Notes
If you've begun reading the chapters that are up, you'll notice that the length of the chapters is pretty long. that is becase they are over ten thousand words long - in fact, the second one is over fifteen thousand. This is the length of the chapters you can expect to see for all the stories. I will not do small chapters. In this series, each chapter will brush upon a minimum of ten thousand words. The maximum amount is twenty-five thousand, mostly because some chapters might end up surpassing others.
Before it's asked, I have plans of how each chapter for all of the stories are going to go. I know exactly where I want to split them, how I want them to happen, and some other things.
Next, you'll notice in both chapter that there are some eithre foreign terms you don't know, or terms you do and are probably confusing you. This is because I'm usuing Japanese terms to explain some things in Skyloft to give it a more otherworld feel to it. While I will post it on here eventually, the main place whre you will see the terms dominantly is when I post the chapters up on Fanfiction.net, in which they will be put into the notes at he bottom of the chapter.
Finally, I'm sure people have noticed the change of the bazaar on Skyloft. I'm making Skyloft bigger, with more people, more homes, and things like that. Plus, there will be more food mentioned, among other things. So, because of that, the Bazaar looks different. I know that some people probably won't like that because it's not how it's seen in the game, but really, in the game, they have to make it a certain way. So, I'm changing this to make it at least appear that more like a village that the beginning says it is. I also make mention of other 'island' because I'm sure that Hylia didn't expect everyone to live in one place and not want ot explore.
Okay, and some trivia: First, as you can tell if you read the second chapter, Link kind of has a job helping Piper in the food bazaar. If your wondering who Piper is, she actually is a character in Skyward Sword. She the one in the bazaar cafe who, when you talk to her, mentions adding something to the stew she's making and it becoming another wonderful creation, and you never actually see anything but her back. Now, I'm sure people will know that this is the name of a character from a rather popular Television show back when it was running, a show about three sisters who turn out to be witches...
Well, that brings us to trivia number two: I say in the second chapter that there are three other girls who help Piper around the food bazaar with Link. I don't mention their names, but, when mentioned with Piper - who, in my mind, is Holly Marie Combs - I'm sure that you can figure out the names of the other girls.
Yup, I'm giving an honorable, though vague, mention to Charmed. Part of the reason I don't name them is to see if you can guess their names and what's going through my mind mentioning them, and partially because all the Skyloftians, save for Link and Zelda, kind of have names that play off of birds. So, once it comes to the next chapter involving Skyloft, it will be easy to see who are my additions to Skyloft, because their names will not be play off names of birds.
